Creating a Video in Motionlab Platform (Batch Campaign)

Personalized Video

Creating the video itself is always a crucial part of the whole video campaign. A strong idea and story behind the video are essential. Video personalization can really improve the metrics of a campaign, but they can't rescue a poor video. So spend some time on developing your idea and use your budget as efficiently as possible.

Think about key issues like: Who is the audience? What is the message? Is the message being delivered effectively? etc.

Video personalization is a powerful tool to communicate with your customers in a unique way. But it should be done realistically so that the viewer believes the message. So use personalization where it is most effective and don't use it just for the sake of it.

More details about how to make the most of video personalization and much more is included in out Get Started course.

In our blog, we also have in-depth articles about how a personalized video gets made and 10 tips for making more creative videos.

Some of the most widely used and powerful personalized elements are:

  • using a greeting (text or voice)

  • address located in a map

  • images

  • customized offers

Requirements:

  1. Have a recorded video prepared and ready.

  2. Have an operational version of Motionlab Platform with sufficient credit.

  3. The prepared database that you want to address with personalized video.

The personalization parameters should match the personalized elements in the video you have prepared. In this step, it is important to set these parameters in Motionlab Platform to match the data you have in your database.

The most commonly used personalized elements are: First name, last name, company, address, product, CTA – button.

For the elements that are shown in the video, the parameters in Motionlab Platform must be written the same in the Excel file, which you will then import.

In this step you will insert the prepared database into Motionlab Platform so that you can generate a video for your contacts. The file must be excel in UTF-8 format. After inserting the file, Motionlab Platform will show you a notification if all the contacts are OK or possibly tell you which line is wrong so that you can fix it. After inserting, the verification will take place within a few seconds and you will see the message – marked in blue. This means that everything is fine and you can go to the next step - rendering, where you click on the button - Launch Render.
