ActiveCampaign helps growing businesses to meaningfully connect and engage with their customers. To Send a Personalized Video via email:

This use-case is shown for the ActiveCampaign marketing automation system. However, a similar procedure is also applicable for other available marketing automation tools.

Detailed step-by-step instructions:

1. Create a customized newsletter

2. Before you insert the thumbnail and video URL into the newsletter, it is necessary to import the database into the ActiveCampaign system. 

A) To insert a Thumbnail: 

1. In the Excel file you downloaded after you made the video in Motionlab Platform, you will see two different links to Thumbnails.

2. We recommend working with the option where the "Play" icon is located in the image.

3. So in this case, you will work with the Thumbnail_1_URL, the field "M". You must import this link into ActiveCampaign.

4. For this Thumbnail, you need to create a unique "Custom Field" in ActiveCampaign, where you import this link for each user.

• How to create a custom field in ActiveCampaign:

  • In the lower left corner, click on "gear" -> Settings.

  • In the menu on the left side, select the option -> Manage Fields.

  • Add a new custom field -> For your purposes it must be the field format - TEXT INPUT.

  • Name this field -> Campaign personalized video Thumbnail.

  • Into the Custom field you have created, import the value from the field - Thumbnail_1_URL.

B) Upload URL of the personalised video:

This field is in the file (Excel with personalized video data) where we merged the URL of the page with the video ID.

1. For the VIDEO URL, you need to create a unique "Custom Field" in ActiveCampaign, where you will import this link for each user. See step-by-step instructions in A4 above.

3. Import customized video data file into ActiveCampaign

• Step-by-step instructions from ActiveCampaign for how to properly import contacts can be found here.

• IMPORTANT - When importing, do not forget to correctly pair the values from the file to ActiveCampaign.

4. Now you can insert the Thumbnail and URL link to the video into your prepared newsletter

1. In the created newsletter, it is necessary to insert an element - HTML Block - which is on the right side.

2. In this field, insert the code to display:

3. Paste this code into - HTML Block - which you put in the body of the newsletter.

4. Insert the Personalization tag into the code (see screen below) - from the custom fields that you created and imported links into them. See previous steps.

5. After pasting and saving, you won't see the thumbnail - this is normal and it's not an error. 

6. You can see if everything is working correctly by sending a test email to the contact who has imported these links.

At this point, you're all done and ready to start sending out personalized conference invitations.
