Promote your Event More Effectively with Personalized Video

Personalized videos have many applications. Some of the most common and favourite ones are used in e-commerce, utility services and FSI for direct messaging to customers about upsell, new services or special offers.

But another great way to use personalized videos, if you really want to reach your audience and grab their attention is for promoting conferences and events. It shows that you care about your audience’s wants and needs and helps to promote your brand as one that is forward-thinking. If you want to show you are innovative, use an innovative way to communicate.

Live events of all kinds took a hit in 2021 thanks to Covid but mankind has always shown ingenuity in the face of adversity, and thanks to vaccines and a shift to on-line activity, something resembling normality is returning and off-line events are taking place again.

A vast amount of superhuman organization required to put on a successful event. But in terms of promotion and bringing people to it, a key factor is knowing who your audience is and being able to speak to them directly in a way that will make them feel they MUST attend that conference for fear of losing out.

Video personalization is a powerful tool to enable this. A personalized video invite enables the organizer to send a clear, compelling message directly to the potential attendee. More than anything, it creates a special feeling of curiosity and engagement for the viewer, and that is invaluable.  

It can be as subtle as a person’s name on a badge or it can go further. If some personal data is available in your CRM, it can understand what that person’s interests are and react to their past actions. The message can therefore be customized with content so that it is relevant and interesting and feel less spammy.

The direct benefits included increased sales, increased web traffic and a higher social media profile.

Motionlab has provided the technology for several successful personalized campaigns. Perhaps the most notable was the campaign for Marketing Festival, one of the biggest marketing conferences in Central Europe. In 2018 the organizers wanted to create a feeling that each attendee was special, that they were being invited to an exclusive event. They wanted to create a buzz. The personalized video that was created was incredibly successful and helped the event sell out in 2 days. The video became a hot topic for discussion and was shared extensively on social networks.

In 2021, Marketing Festival took place on-line but Motionlab again helped to create a personalized trailer invite that made subtle fun of the situation and the event was again successful.  

Another example of a personalized video to help create a special sense of occasion was this film Motionlab helped to create for Broker Trust.

The list of possibilities is a long one: Conferences, conventions, seminars, launch parties, charity events, exhibitions, trade fairs and concerts can all benefit from a personalized campaign as well as on-line events.
